I know you have this BIG GOAL, and you have a BIG WHY…but some days you don’t feel like it. Hell, nobody is enthusiastic and crazy happy every day, that’s weird and psychopathic.
But there are also days where it’s harder than most
ones. And you know you’re about to just lose it.
You are doing things on autopilot, forget important
stuff, drive to work in deep thought, and sometimes, you’re just too tired to
do any fun things at night. (Sometimes, you sleep bad too.)
Is this you?
Well, you might be close to a burnout. So let me help
you. I’ve been there before – too many times!—and I want you to know that
2. It’s not that bad,
3. You can handle it better.
So here goes.
Plan for burn-out
Have a burn out system that will help you overcome it when it comes. Usually I just take a breather, watch a funny video, take a walk, read a book, or get a massage. Whatever works for you, and whatever “relaxes” your brain, that’s it. How to know if something is working for you? Watch your breathing. If your breathing is deeper and longer, you’re getting more and more relaxed. If it’s short and you’re still sort of anxious, you need to shift to a different activity and really find your place of joy. Then plan for it. Treat it like a Swiss knife that you take out whenever you need it.
Sleep more hustle less
I talk to soooo many business owners that function on coffee & Red Bull… but that’s poison! They’re also very addictive. Take more rests and sleep more. Studies show that the longer you sleep the longer your life span will also be. And honestly, being sleepy is your body telling you to slow down. Learn the art of napping, and deep work, so you can sleep more, hustle less, but retain intended productivity.
It is okay to step away and do something else. Your business will be okay and your followers won’t die without you! Your loved ones know how to reach you if there’s an emergency. Watch your screen time (there are apps for this!) and try to reduce it to less than an hour a day. Spend time with your loved ones, do things you enjoy that’s screen-free, and most of all, get out and get moving! You’d be surprised how a little sun and a short walk could really help you.
Hope these tips made you a little bit more equipped in handling burnout! You are not alone! 😉 I will be posting an anti-burnout post on my FB page too, I’d be happy to get your feedback there! See you!
