When I drink, I usually stay near beers, light cocktails or wine. I think the strongest drink that I like is tequila; and I don’t even drink it more than five times a year. And I’m not a very heavy drinker. I experienced throwing up and feeling all groggy when I go home–worse when I wake up the next day–and not only is it unfabulous, it also affects the way I function. Seriously, when you’re writing, teaching, organizing events and doing marketing for a living, you don’t need downtime. Thankyouverymuch.
Yesterday, I went to a launch for something new: scotch whisky. *whistles* Sounds pretty high class and sexy, doesn’t it? It was so unfamiliar to me that I even had to check many times if I spelled whisky right. If you’re feeling as dazed as I am, let me walk you through:
BenMore is made by DIAGEO, a leader in the liquor industry who also owns popular brands such as Johnie Walker, J & B and Smirnoff Vodka.
BenMore Four Casks Scotch Whisky is the newest whisky that is produced and distilled in Scotland. It is a deluxe Scotch Whisky which puts attention to details. It is matured in four different types of oak casks to achieve depth and complexity to match the standards of whisky drinkers, to give the harmony between mellow tastes and scotch aroma, including malt and peat aroma with the hint of smokiness and most importantly, to give you an even smoother Scotch whisky experience.
A 750ml bottle of BenMore Scotch Whisky contains 22 shots that you can enjoy in different ways depending on your preference:
*On the rocks
*With iced tea
*with tonic/ soda

Aside from educating myself about Scotch, whisky and BenMore, I also tried my very best to learn not to stare when THE Borgy Manotoc arrived…and realizing he’s just as perfect as he looks in the magazines. I know sometimes I can be such a sellout. Forgive me. We had a short talk and I said a joke about body shots. (Mom, if you are reading this, don’t worry, you can ask Borgy and he’ll tell you it wasn’t obscene or suggestive.) And look at the picture above, he even looks happier seeing me. Chos!
After the presscon at Alor’s (superyummy food!), we went to The Brewery to warm ourselves up with a bottle of wine then Starr for the VIP Party. Went with the superawesome Davao Bloggers, who were all looking dashing in their classy cocktails.
