As long as something is classified as skin, it will eventually shed off because skin renews every 30 days. (Approximately, the epidermis is composed of 30 superposed cell layers.) This means that a new batch of cells are produced by your basal layer each day and the entire epidermis is REMOVED after 30 days. Like your scalp, your lips are considered “skin” too that is why you need to exfoliate it to keep it looking vibrant.
When you are about to end brushing your teeth, lightly brush your lips to get rid of the dead skin cells. Do this at least once a day and you will have smooth, exfoliated lips all the time! Dry lips will always be obvious when you wear your lipstick; the color isn’t that event.
Also, for your everyday look, finish off with a great lip moisturizer/ balm like Chapstick, Body shop, Blistex or Burt’s Bees. The one I use is Human Nature Tinted Lip Balm. It’s chic, organic and it costs less than P80! If you’re wearing lipstick, apply lip balm first before you put on the lipstick.
Don’t forget to exfoliate your lips everyday now, will you? So when you rock your shiny lip gloss, your lips will surely look oomph-mazing! 🙂
