A few days ago, I got the sexiest and the most luxurious looking VIP card in the face of the Earth: the Société de Kérastase VIP card. The gorgeous folks from Kérastase Philippines sent them over and I am still gushing about it a week after. (This blog post is the written -and more refined- version of all the gushing I did.) Here’s the package, BTW:
While leafing through the sexy shimmery black pages, I learned that the Société de Kérastase membership is one awesome thing to have. First off, all Société de Kérastase members can enjoy rewards just by purchasing Kérastase products. For every P100 spent on Kérastase products or treatments, a member can get 1 point. You can exchange these points for privileges later. If you’re not a member yet, purchase P10,000 worth of Kérastase products (meaning: garner 100 points) and you’re automatically part of THE Société.
The members of the Société can also be the first ones to try out brand-spanking-new Société de Kérastase products or rituals. Wait, there’s more: discounts, exclusive events and other freebies!
Here’s the mouth-watering list from the official Société de Kérastase website:
Periodic exclusive member discounts and treats on Kerastase products and services, as well as other luxury beauty and fashion labels.
Members-only access to beauty workshops from the top brands and stylists.
Keep track of your purchases, points and redeemable rewards online with your own private account.
Get the latest news and updates on Kérastaseproducts, services and events.
Indulge in special treats on your birthday and more.
Because I have wavy hair, I am praying so hard to finally be able to try out ^THIS^ treatment. Sigh. According to the official Kérastase website, the Oleo Curl Intense treatment achieves this: Curls are lightly nourished, supple and easily detangled. Thermo-protection helps guard against heat styling damage. Helps to create flowing, natural curls while controlling volume. Curls have optimal shine from roots to ends.
The truth is, I never had a Kérastase treatment in my life. It sounded so intimidating and so expensive that I usually ended up just doing cheaper at-home L’oreal treatments. Now that I have this card, I might give it a try! A friend of mine actually told me that she already experienced many hair treatments in expensive salons but the Kérastase experience was really the one which got her coming back to this certain salon! Many salon treatments promised “cellophane shine” but it was only a vial of Kérastase which lived up to the meaning of that phrase! Better run to the top salons right now!
For those who haven’t heard about Kérastase yet, SHAME ON YOU. LOL just kidding. Shake of that pseudo-shame now, will ya?
What is Kérastase?
Kérastase is a luxury hair care brand that was developed by Recherche avancée L’Oréal (L’Oréal advanced research) under the professional products division of the L’Oreal Group. It was officially established in 1964 in France. After some time, the brand expanded in all of Europe and then had a worldwide launch in Japan last 1990, and in North America, in 1999. (info from www.wikipedia.com) To date, Kérastase is still regarded as the best product for hair care. Never mind if it’s self-administered or the treatment’s done by a salon expert.
