Young Davao Writers, a homegrown group of writers and literary enthusiasts from Davao city, delights poetry and literature lovers with another spoken word show this coming February 27, 2016 featuring famous spoken word talent, Juan Miguel Severo.

This show, fondly called #HabangMayHugot, is a way to promote spoken word, poetry, and storytelling that stems from feelings you’d like to share or stories you’d love people to hear. “Hugot”, as it is used in contemporary parlance, usually pertains to love, loss or longing, which is the main theme from which several spoken word artists are known for. This show aims to expand how people look at “Hugot” and spoken word, and put more emphasis on storytelling and well-crafted literary performances.
